Jennifer, Altered Book

So far with book, I have been exploring different ways to change the surface of my pages. I first tried cutting out shapes with an blade that some what mocked the shapes in the illustrations on that page. After that, I continued by alter the surface by adding washes of whites, reds ,and blacks. I now am working on finishing the altering of all 10 spreads to create a ground on which I will build on. I am not sure of my theme entirely yet. I think I am heading down the path of using this continuing lightning/tree/vein flowing throughout my book. I feel it ties also to some of the books original contents which is on Electricity and currents. I hope to keep building upon this idea and see where it leads me.
