Kim - Altered Book

Draw, paint, rip, scrape, draw, paint, poke, tape, scratch..... Yes, it's the sweet struggle; the aha inspiration for my altered book's title is ....'creating the gaze moments'. There's that circle again...that circle of life in which we create and live. Thinking outside the box...creating outside the circle...gazing outside the circle.

Middle school students will create altered books that reflect their visual culture. This will be a project that students may work on throughout the year in class. They will be required to have all the principles and elements of art within their eight to ten spreads. After finishing other assigned projects, students can work on their books during free time in class.
