The Altered Book project was so intense. When I took these images I felt like I was holding rich cloth. Every page tells it's own story and together they tell one. My book was " The Arabian Nights". I saved and altered some to the book's pictures and tried to stay with the theme of the book, hence the Persian flavor and water jars.
Sue your book was amazing with color, patterns, and shapes. I liked the cut shape of the pages and the layering of the underlying pages with new patterns and colors. Some of your patterns and shapes reminded me of Matisse. Also liked the idea of using a story for your concept. I will use this concept for an altered book with middle school students and their required reading.
