Translation 2 for Rick

I feel that the one-minute sculpture and drawings will enhance my students skills in many areas. It will develop their composition and proportion in their artwork, and will let them create without having to think about everything before hand. It will assist the students in loosening up and hopefully creating a stylized mark making throughout the pieces. I know my kids that are in middle school and high school will really enjoy this process.

Not only will it help them with their art, it will help any students that have a hard time working with other students. I will help them break down the anxious barriers that keep them from exploring new ideas and foundations. I will definitely give my students the opportunity to do the one minute sculpture and drawings, and I see it translating well into my classes.

The exercise also helps with creativity and shows kids several ideas in a short amount of time. Working in teams will help them expand ideas, and will give them an opportunity to break down the pre-conceived ideas that they have been force feed throughout their lives. I cant wait to do this exercise, there is no telling what kind of creative compositions they will come up with. I know that doing the drawings as well as coming up with an original composition will inspire my kids and show them a way to be creative.
