These were both fast and cleaver projects. I can see lots of applications in the classroom that can connect core subjects into this art. Kids love making books and to add a verbal facet to the art project adds new meaning to "what I did on my summer vacation". Instead of a post card why not a book?
The Blue Map Book drawings were, for me, too light, too thin and really didn't show up well. I think I will need to use a popcicle stick or something much thicker that makes a bigger, smoother mark on the wax paper. These would be a hit with the regular classroom teachers as well who are always asking for directions for projects they want to copy in their classroom.
