Project book

I love butterlies! For their representation of rebirth and renewal and for the beauty that can be found in each one. So it was easy for me to come up with wings as my project book. However, I decided to do all types of wings; bees, birds, angels and airplanes. I think this is a great study tool. This project could be given out at the beginning of the year with periodic reviews to keep the students on track.

  1. Beautiful butterfly wings. You are right...the project book is a great study tool. Biology, Zoology, History, Psychology? Cross Curriculum with art. Not every student can write as effectively as they draw.

  2. This was one of my favorite project book concepts. How original! How lovely too. You could even combine it with the Printmaking class idea of using the 5 senses and combine it with music, touch, etc. I agree with Marcia-- it could be great when combined with a science lesson.

  3. Patty, check out this artist--www.dawnrozzo.com.
She is a Raleigh, NC artist that is having an opening this Friday and I just got an email about it. I think you would get some more ideas from her work. She uses a lot of birds and natural things combined with book pages.
